Cloffock's Junction (1885-1930)

Opened on the Cleator and Workington Junction Railway.

Description

This was a double track junction north of Workington Central station. It was the west end of a curve which connected to the Cockermouth and Workington Railway just east of Workington Bridge station. The curve crossed the River Derwent.

The curve allowed trains to run north from Workington and turn east to Cockermouth.

The site is now landscaped, the north-south trackbed of the main line is now a footpath.
